My Rice Krispie Birthday Cake!!

Happy Birthday To Katybeth!!

You know I like Rice Krispies Treats, right? I mean, everyone likes Rice Krispies Treats, but I REALLY like them. My mother never made them for me when I was a child. I’m not sure why. Spent some time in therapy over this one and then moved on to the time she went to a dog show on Thanksgiving. Okay. Wait … We were talking about my love for Rice Krispies Treats … I love them.

Do you remember when Susan and Richard made Cole’s birthday cake with the 56 eggs and eight pounds of butter? Well, they really outdid themselves with my cake!! They made me a Rice Krispies cake, complete with a sparkler for a candle.

Of course, I snapped pictures. (Get it? SNAPPED?!  As in Snap, Crackle and Pop?)

Birthday Cake Preparation!

Lightening of the Birthday Sparkler!

If at first you don't succeed.....

It's my birthday! I get the first piece! Right???

Rice Krispie Cake, Cherry Garcia Ice Cream, Champaign...Perfect Pairing.

Snap, Crackle Pop...mmmm good!!!

Next time Susan said she is going to add some of those little tiny sprinkles!! Sprinkles!! Next Time!!!!

Oh and Mom don’t you worry! When I visit you will have the opportunity to make it all up to me with an Angle Food cake with whip cream and strawberries….

Glad you were in my Odd neighborhood. Feel free to hang around with us any time. Odd Loves Company and odd loves you and you and you!! I would love to hear from you in the comment section of this blog, or on Facebook or Twitter!

  1. Yum!
    I love them too!
I make them with extra butter and easy rice…
Don’t you love the ones at Starbucks? And only 130 calories! Delightful…
Hope you had a fantastic birthday Katybeth!

  2. I would love to have a Susan and Richard baking for me. Do you think I am to old to be adopted by them? I love Richard’s cooking! What a beauty of a cake!

  3. My mom made them for us all the time when we were kids and that is why now, they are so unappealing to me. But this post almost (almost) made we want to have one again! What a lovely idea! Happy, happy, happy birthday!

    • Well make them for your kids or even a neighbor family..and take a small small bite….

Thanks for the Happy Birthday and for dropping by Odd. You know how much these comments mean to us….LOL.

  4. Can’t go wrong with Rice Krispy treats! Try drizzling melted milk chocolate over the top next time. Yum!
