Groupon On Odd

by Katybeth on October 24, 2010

Do you Groupon? I admit it, I’m an addict, and now I think I just became a Groupon pusher: I added a Groupon banner to my blog, My Odd Family.

Seeking redemption, I had an idea. (Amen and hallelujah!)

Every time you visit My Odd Family and click on the Groupon banner, My Odd Family will be paid a small amount of money. I will donate this money to the Joe Ruscitti Athletic Endowment Fund,* which is designated for the athletic programming and development of the Chicago Waldorf School.

It works like this:

  • If you plan to buy a Groupon, visit  My Odd Family.
  • Next, click on the Groupon banner on the right-hand sidebar. You will be redirected to the Groupon Web site.
  • Buy your Groupon just like you normally would. In fact, even if you decide not to buy the Groupon, My Odd Family will still be paid for your click.
  • Anyone anywhere who clicks on the Groupon banner on My Odd Family will be making a donation to the Joe Ruscitti Athletic Endowment Fund.

I heard a rumor that tomorrow (Monday, October 25, 2010) there will be a really good Groupon for a great brick-and-mortar store. I don’t know for sure which one it’s going to be, but I have a feeling that I’ll be buying and gifting a few Groupons myself.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I don’t plan to send out any more updates about this; there is nothing worse than a pushy Groupon pusher! Any updates will be published on My Odd Family under the Odds and Ends tab.

Glad you were in my Odd neighborhood. Feel free to drop by any time. Odd Loves Company and odd loves you and you and you!! I would love to hear from you in the comment section of this blog, or on Facebook or Twitter!

*Please note that this has been done as a result of my own personal commitment to the Joe Ruscitti Athletic Endowment Fund. The Chicago Waldorf School is not associated with Groupon or My Odd Family

I will click and click and click. I love Groupon. Great idea. A way to support a cause while spending money I had planned to spend!
