Venus Transit: How will it affect your Creative Transformation?

This past week we witnessed a rare celestial event called “The Venus Transit.” Have you wondered how this might affect your own creative transformation? My odd family friend, Hazel Archer Ginsberg, wrote about this event on Facebook. I am only sharing a part of her musings, but I encourage you to click over and read the whole note on Facebook if you want learn more.

Every 125 years, the Venus Transit cycle occurs when Venus eclipses the Sun two times—at the beginning and at the end of an eight-year period. Jeremiah Horrocks, an English astronomer, witnessed the first Venus transit in 1639. The current Venus Transit cycle began on June 8, 2004 when Venus passed between the Earth and our Sun. The second Venus eclipse occurred on June 5, 2012.

Venus correlates to our core being-ness, to our inner feminine, and to our needs and desires. The yin momentum that it holds is that of drawing-in or attraction. Venus brings in the principle of relationship and, remember, that like attracts like. How we feel inwardly, how we resonate, and how we energize from within becomes the basis of our magnetic force-field. Venus is also the force of fertility.

Venus in Gemini emphasizes ways of communicating, looking, seeing, learning, and connecting. On June 5, 2012, there was a significant energy surge transmitted between our creator consciousness and our instinctual desires.

Simply put, whatever we have evaluated as most desirable and necessary for our creative continuance is brought into focus.

We are now faced with a critical impact moment along our evolutionary timeline. Destiny may show up in terms of life events and opportunities, or it may draw key people into our life. Destiny is forceful enough to create a momentous shift in our awareness and therefore, our basis of reality.

If you didn’t witness a personal pivotal circumstance occurring on the actual Venus event date, then take note that the potency of these transits are already operative and that they will continue to extend over a period of time. In fact, you have been working on this key, calling-forth destiny chapter for some time now. Rarely does one realize the full importance of the experience as it is happening. Reflection will attest that this is no ordinary moment in time. Think back to June of 2004. Did a relationship, a new idea, or life chapter begin or end? Think of its relevancy to where you are now and to what you have created since then. Can you see the last Venus Transit as a staging platform or a springboard?

All planetary retrograde cycles are intensification chapters. Venus is traveling in retrograde motion (going back or within) RIGHT NOW (from May 15 to June 27, 2012). Soon, Venus as “Evening Star” will disappear into the rays of the Sun for a fiery re-birth. After it visibly crosses the Sun’s face on June 5th, it will disappear again and reappear in the sky as the ‘Morning Star’ before sunrise on June 13.

As the planet of beauty and self-worth, retrograde Venus prompts a review and reassessment of our essential needs, wants, and resources. The cycle animates the unfinished business of relationships, from either this life or past lives. It brings in the shadow side of relationships, but can also call forth fruition karma. In other words, destiny that is ripe and waiting for the next chapter to begin.

Thank you Hazel for sharing your insights and satisfying our inquiring minds.

I like do-overs and new chapters! What about you….? Odd Loves Company!
