★ ~ International Joke Day:

Are we all giggling?! Good! Today is all about silly jokes and laughter.  Most of the time we tell jokes too fast, our timing is off, and we forget the punch-line—but really, that is part of the fun. So, celebrate today by sharing your favorite joke—even if it’s so old the Dead Sea was just getting sick the first time someone told it!

★ ~ Create Your Own Ice Cream Flavor Day:

July is Ice Cream Month, officially designated by Ronald Reagan in 1984. To kick the month off, we are invited to create our own ice cream flavor or try a new flavor combination.

♥~  July is the best month to  buy- “Older” computers: As in not just arriving. Intel and AMD and system makers start ramping up for new stuff now, discounting old stuff. Furniture: Stores make an inventory push, so if you like something, make an offer. Broadway tickets: It’s off-season for NYC tourism, so now’s the time to snag those half-off tickets.  Grills (after July 4th): Wait for it, wait for it … now, grab that grill, while stores shift toward back-to-school and yard gear.

Happy July 1st!  Cole and friend are finishing up the fence and I’m on my way to store to buy some hamburgers to grill…we want to get the month started off on the right foot. What are your plans for the day?

  1. Happy July 1st. Happy Birthday Canada. July is going to be a great month I even remembered to say Rabbit Rabbit!

    Golfing and then grilling

    Stay Cool.

Toronto, Montreal, Calgary, Ottawa, Winnipeg, Vancouver, Hamilton, Quebec, Surrey…Let me think about the rest.

  2. Thanks for the shout out Katybeth. We always have a family picnic on Canada Day at my brothers house–everyone has a great time and there are always a few stories to tell afterwards. Let me help Mike out by adding another popular Canadian city-Halifax.

    Enjoy your day!

  3. I actually remembered to say Rabbit Rabbit this morning — I’m looking forward to a fabulous month!! Alas, I had ice cream (with chocolate syrup) yesterday. I’d never heard of cutting a hot dog into spirals — how pretty! Think I’ll have to give that one a try.

    • Good for you!! I bet it’s even better than a fabulous month!! We love the hot dog trick. Watch them on the grill tho–they cook fast.

  4. Grilled fruit. ALways sounds so yummy, but I never do it. Probably because it doesn’t last long enough around here to get to the grill. Also ice cream is my favorite thing in the whole world! Thank you Pres Regan!!

  5. I just viewed your camp Run a Pup pictures…..can I come and live with you? I would feel like I had died and gone to doggie heaven. Oh how I love dogs. They are the best people in the world and I feel like there are no problems in the world when I am with dogs. My son has 2 golden’s and they are just so much personality running around, and of course my Millie. I truly envy you, Katybeth. Zella is a love too. I can never have too many doggie friends. I walk around my subdivision and ALL the dogs know me and come running to get their treats. I am known as the “sucker lady” to the kids and the “treat” lady to the dogs.

    • The “treat lady” that is so FUN. My campers would love for you to come for a visit. I really do have the best job–great pups and great owners…and the best part is my campers like to come to camp and then go home to forever families that love them to pieces.
