★~ Eat a peach Day:

Originally cultivated in China and once the fruit of the emperors, peaches were revered for bestowing good health and prosperity to all who ate them. An apple a day may keep the doctor away, but, if the legend is true, peach eaters live long and prosper!

Pick the perfect peach by GENTLY laying your palm around the fruit to feel whether it is firm or soft. DO NOT squeeze with your fingers and thumbs.

Peach Crisps

4 ripe peaches, halved
4tablespoons light brown sugar
1 cup granola
8 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into 16 pieces
1 pint vanilla ice cream (optional)

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Place the peach halves, cut-side up, in a baking dish. Sprinkle each half with 1/2 tablespoon of brown sugar, 2 tablespoons of granola, and 2 pieces of butter. Bake until the peaches are soft and the granola begins to brown, about 15 minutes. Transfer to individual plates, spooning the juices in the dish over each peach half. Serve with ice cream.

It’s going to be hard to celebrate today since I am posting this at 10:37pm. I thought I hit publish hours ago, but there was either a virtual glitch or I a finger glitch. So go ahead and have a peach over the weekend or just be peachy and as for being an angel I’m already typing to the choir.
