The White Cane is a symbol of independence and self-reliance.

★~ Grouch Day:
It’s ok to be a grouch today. Oscar explains it best when he sings the Grouch Anthem. Here are the words so you can join in and sing along.
Grouches of the world unite!
Stand up for your grouchly rights!
Don’t let the sunshine spoil the rain
Just stand up and complain (heheheh)
Let this be the grouches’ cause:
Point out everybody’s flaws!
Something is wrong with everything
Except the way i sing!
You know what’s right with this world? nuttin!
You know what gets me hot under the collar? you name it!
And the next time some goody-two-shoes smiles and tells you to have a nice day just remember:
Don’t let the sunshine spoil the rain
Just stand up and complain!
Just stand up and complain!

Belated – El Morno. We lost internet this Morno, moments before I was ready to publish El Morno, and it was out a good portion of the day. However, despite the day being over, I didn’t want to waste a perfectly good El Morno post so here I am late but not a quitter. I’m optimistic I’ll see you tomorrow morno.
Odd Loves Company,
Sorry to hear about your Internet. How did you hold up with all the rain?
A day without internet, well, it gets the laundry folded, but that is beside the point.
We held up. More or less. I have a system to keep the water in check. A combination of inflatable, reusable sandbags and disposable diapers. A long range solution is in the works. Thanks for asking.
Morno,
Missed El Morno. Catch you tomorrow. Hope your dam held.
It did hold. Thanks!
Better late than never — good persevering!!
Thanks. So glad to be back up and on.
