★~ Chocolate Day:
Today is just one of many Chocolate days throughout the year. We’ll also celebrate World Chocolate Day on September 4 and National Chocolate Day on October 28. Multiple chocolate days work for me! Why not make Strawberry Sundae Puffs with Chocolate Sauce (see video above–tip you can buy the puffs at the store)
★~ Strawberry Sundae:
Once known as sondhis and sundis, too, the ice cream sundae is named after Sunday. The odd spelling was to avoid offending Christians, who might not like a dessert tied to the holiest day of the week. Let’s review a few more facts about Sundae’s
In 1985, the biggest Ice Cream sundae was made in California. It stood 12ft tall and was made with 4,667 gallons of ice Cream
In 1988, the largest ice cream sundae weighed 54,914 pounds. It was made by Palm Daries Ltd. in Alberta, Canada in 1988.
The most common types of sundae are chocolate caramel, butterscotch or strawberry.
Chocolate syrup is the most popular sundae topping!
The worlds most expensive sundae cost $25,000 and set a Guinness world record for the most expensive dessert. “Frrozen Haute Chocolate,” a blend of 28 cocoas, including 14 of the most expensive and exotic from around the globe. The dessert, is infused with 0.2 ounces of edible 23-karat gold and served in a goblet lined with edible gold. At the base of the goblet is an 18-karat gold bracelet with 1 carat of white diamonds. The sundae is topped with whipped cream covered with more gold and a side of La Madeline au Truffle from Knipschildt Chocolatier, which sells for $2,600 a pound. It is eaten with a gold spoon decorated with white and chocolate-colored diamonds, which can also be taken home

★~ Gallimaufry Today:
I enjoy playing an on-line vocabulary game every Monday when it lands in my e-mail inbox. Today my word was gallimaufry – motley assortment of things. One of my favorite words. But unfortunately I rarely take the opportunity to use it in everyday conversation. It’s sad how many words are ignored for less colorful familiar words. Good to Know will now be called Gallimaufry Today. Go ahead use it in a sentence, you’ll be glad you did!

The teen is 90% cure. It must of been the green tea or maybe the antibiotic….We still have no idea what he had, but the same day he started to take the antibiotic (and green tea) the symptoms started to disappear. His lab work will be back today or tomorrow; I’m still betting on Strep. Can 25 Facebook Mom’s be wrong?
We had storms last night, but no fireworks so perhaps we can call this holiday over and done.
Time to give a Greyhound and Bernese Mountain dog a bath. I’ve decided everyone needs at least one Greyhound. Cheyenne is the first Greyhound that has camped with us ( we keep a list of breeds of dogs that camp with us and a Greyhound was not checked off. Odd since they are fairly common in Chicago) and I’ve decided everyone needs at least one Greyhound. They are so docile, and quiet and FAST! The Berner is a pup. Enough said. You can see pictures on our Camp Facebook Page.
Sundaes and Chocolate! Go forth and have a very Merry Monday!
Odd Loves Company!
Sundaes & chocolate…..bound to be a great day! Be truthful about it.
I gave some thought to adopting a greyhound years ago. Other dogs kept finding us in the meantime. Their hip/leg muscles are incredible!
Tomatoes???
I like ketchup.
I like country music.
I like hockey.
Time to make some calls.
Good day!
Our greyhound camper was an older gal and I was amazed at how fast you could move. Especially in bursts.
Tomatoes is correct. Not a fan. I like them in sauce but not from vine. To acidic.
I’m going to guess Country Music is false. No worries. We’ll work on it!
Internet issues this Morno. Chocolate and Sundaes. It doesn’t get much better. I’m not sure how Harry would feel about a greyhound. I suspect not great Neat dogs, tho.
I’ll guess Tomatoes.
I like golf
I like my Internet provider
I like steak
Have a good one.
I’m sure Harry is happy being an only cat. A Greyhound might think he was rabbit and that would not be good.
Ding. Ding. And my final answer is do NOT like your Internet provider. True?
Chocolate and sundaes —-winners all the way around. Love them both. Always. Forever.
I am stumped on your true and false. The majority so far seems to think it is the tomato but I thought maybe the thunder and lightening because of the pups. Here’s mine:
I like cats.
I like dogs.
I like mosquitos.
There is no way I am going to catch up on all of the posts I am behind on on everyone’s blogs but know that I missed you! Back for a few days of reading!
Uhm…Cats? No that can’t be right and I can’t imagine you’d hate dogs so I am going to take a wild stab in the dark and say MOSQUITOES?? Am I right??
Glad your back. 😀
Happy days are here again, MDB is up and moving. I’ll be very interested to hear what laid him low.
Sundaes are always a good idea. I’m off to sit with my pup on the patio. We’ve got lots of clouds, could that mean a bit of rain? When you live in NM your always hoping.

Hope you had rain!
