― Groucho Marx
★~ Work Like A Dog Day:
There is such irony in the idiom “work like a dog.” I suggest celebrating today by curling up on the couch, asking for a back rub, and eating your favorite treats all day. Rascal believes if she works at being happy, we’ll be happy too. Mostly she is right.
★~ Oyster Day:
There are over 100 different species of oysters and they’re typically named after the body of water where they grow because they take on the characteristics of the water they live in. The largest oyster-producing body of water in the world is located in Chesapeake Bay on the east coast of the U.S. Sadly, only one out of every 10,000 oysters will produce a pearl. My teen can easily eat a dozen oysters and after a brief break consume another dozen. I can eat just one.

★~ Moon Gallimaufry
If you want to buy a plot on the Moon I know a guy…. Denis Hope, is a 65-year-old man from Gardnerville, Nevada, who runs a legit business selling land plots on the Moon, Mars, Venus, Io and Mercury.
Hope is a former-ventriloquist, has been a in the business of space real-estate since 1980. Some people view his work as the selling of ‘novelty items’ such as pet rocks and certificates. Others argue that he’s taking forth the age-old American tradition of land speculators selling plots of useless land. Hope admits that there are several others selling property in outer space, but the difference is that those people are criminal in their intent. He considers himself the legit owner of the Moon, so what he’s doing is all right. How come he is so confident, you ask? Because he filed a declaration with the United Nations. Click Moonestates to find out more and perhaps stake your claim to a piece of the Moon

Have a terrific Tuesday and if it’s not terrific feel free to rant! It’s rant Tuesday. For better or worse the picnic table is done. I’ll post pictures tomorrow. I’m not speaking to it right now. Onward. Today, we will finish a bunch of small nits and grits.

Morno,
I like an oyster or two. I don’t know much about dogs but Harry the cat is not much of a worker. He’s more of a snoozer except when he wants me to open a can of something. My kids and Harry have a lot in common. I don’t mind tho, like you I’m happy when their happy.
Off to the office, tomorrow I golf with some good buddies.
Have a good one.
Cats work even less than dogs. Have you ever seen one doing anything that remotely resembles work? Good point about the kids.
Hope you had a good day.
My dogs aren’t very hard workers so I should be able to keep up. Right now they are napping intently.
I like oysters cooked.
Neil Armstrong was a wonderful statesman for this country his entire life.
A piece of the moon would be a fun gift to give someone.
Have a nice day.
Napping intently. That describes my pups pretty well too!
I think the moon would make a fun gift!
I’ll pass on the oysters. I’ve tried them and just don’t care for them, fixed ANY way.
Trinket worked today and she worked pretty darn well.Of-course she is part of the working breed!
I could really use a cookie so I think I’ll go bake myself one.

What kind? And did you make good use of all those tins I gave you????

Sorry, but I’m with ^Marcie^ on this one — oysters just aren’t for me.
Dallas works hard and plays hard, but he’s got an “Off” button. When that goes on, he’s down for the count, and nobody sleeps better than a dog. Don’t you just love watching their feet move and hearing them exhale as they chase things??
I’m not sure I want a piece of the moon, though hey, if that guy can make a living off it, more power to him.
I do think sleeping dogs are very cute!
A piece of the moon would be a fun novelty gift for the person who has everything.
Love the quote. Rascal is brilliant in his perceptions. He obviously knows what works for him. 🙂
Rascal does figure out what works pretty quick. And as long as what makes us happy, makes her happy we are all happy.
