Shopping with my Freshman

My Dear Boy and I needed to do a little shopping before his 9th grade camping trip.

Lucky: Denim Jeans: $110.00

Guess: Black Jeans $89.00

Dick Sporting Good Store: Mess Kit, Track Pants, Mesh Bag, Bug Spray, Camp Pillow: $69.00

Starbucks:  (2) Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino’s: $8.90

After we returned home from shopping I did laundry, found his duffel bag, sleeping bag, sleeping matt, and checked our packing list. Together we stuffed the new with the old into his duffel bag.

This morning, I took him to school and together we unload his gear. He will leave on CTA with his class.

Money for the CTA and a little extra: $20.00

Time alone: Priceless!

Glad you were in my Odd neighborhood. Feel free to hang around with us any time. Odd Loves Company and odd loves you and you and you!! I would love to hear from you in the comment section of this blog, or on Facebook or Twitter!

PS–Yes, I know someday, all I will have is “time alone” (sigh) but for the moment WOOO HOOO! We are both having a good time. Apart.

  1. They are a little costly, aren’t they? But worth it. Don’t know why you didn’t go along and chaperone. Wait, yes I do.

I’m with you on the alone time thing, but I can’t tell you how weird it is when it moves to the all I have is alone time phase.

    • Chaperone? No. just No. During the grade school years–Joe was “invited” to chaperone most trips—(insert evil laugh) and here me cry “alone, alone at last!!”
Yes the initial expense is nothing compared to the ongoing expense but a wonderful investment.

      Thanks for dropping by Odd.
