Just Right!
Why I did not posting El Morno yesterday and why El Morno will be delayed at least a few more hours today…..
Cousin Carla is in town…
It was my birthday yesterday…
The bottom dropped out of a gallon bottle of Stoli Vodka in my kitchen and I am high on the fumes. Rascal just needs an olive behind her ear and she could be a martini…
We fried a lot of chicken…
We made a lot of pasta salad…
Cousin Carla and Son Cole left my birthday cake in the car. My triple chocolate mouse filled cake for hours.
We mixed up 200 pounds of corn starch and water in my living room and made Oobleck…a cement mixer would have been helpful.
I drank two or three or maybe four glasses of Champaign…
White foot prints are in front of my toilet…
It’s 8am in the morning and I am eating fried chicken, pasta salad, and birthday cake. It is so good. I wish I had champaign to drink with it.
I’m admiring my flowers, cards, Starbucks cards, little bottles of coke, and trying on my new earrings. . .
Rascal is tired. . .
I just found enough champagne to mix with Oj and I’m having a mimosa. Cheers.
Now you understand why El Morn is delayed, right? I will be back with more pictures,more stories, and El Morno soon. It will be worth the wait. I promise.

Sounds like a week long blast to celebrate. My question is how do you get the cement in the baby pool out of the house? My guess would to drink more champagne and figure it out then. Cousin Carla seems to be a good/bad ? influence on you!!
That is exactly how we handled it Nancy. We just did not worry about it. After cleaning up today (Sat) I was thinking we might have worried about it a little more…but no regrets…Carla is both! Throw Cole into the mix and everything is up for grabs.
The party sounded wonderful. The food sounded very good indeed. I’m so glad it was a happy day for you.

You are lucky it was your birthday or I would have objected to your use of the “royal we” as in “We fried chicken”, “We made pasta salad”, We mixed up a lot of oobleck”. Also thank you for not publicly addressing whether or not I am a good or bad influence on you, but for that inquirer I would like to point out that oobleck was not my idea. I have no influence on you. I save all of my influence (mostly bad) for Cole!
I meant “We” as in I was right beside you when you made pasta salad, fried chicken, and mixed Oobleck. I wouldn’t say “no influence” but I will say Oobleck was Carolee’s (she lives in Maryland) idea. Cole loves his Aunt Carla.
