May your stuffing be tasty
May your turkey be plump,
May your potatoes and gravy
Have never a lump.
May your yams be delicious
And your pies take the prize,
And may your Thanksgiving dinner
Stay off your thighs! (anonymous)

Last Thursday, on Facebook and Odd, I asked people to share a six-word Thanksgiving stories. They did. I thought I would share them with you!  Such FUN. Feel free to add your story!

Joel –  Invited out. Miss Carol’s Turkey. Whatever…

Stan – It’s more Chaos than last year.

Joann – Some wine. More wine. Pass out.

Bev – No family. No turkey. Still hope.

Rachel –Our alternative “family” gathering invites surprises.

Kelly – Spatchcock turkey, not a recommended preparation.

Diane – Someone else will prepare the turkey!

Mary Alice – Thankful for family. Home Sweet Home.

Joann – Good company. Good Food. Good Night.

Kim – Too much family, food, and drama

Carol – Yippee, I don’t have to cook.

Nicole –  Wine. Family. Overtired kids. Wine. Repeat.

Emily – Fourteen hours driving, but not cooking!

Odd Wishes You A Happy Thanksgiving!

  1. Thanksgiving El Morno is here, yhea!
How did I do? Taking cookies to my sisters and a pie. Going early so I can help her husband watch football. Looking forward to a plentiful day.

    Have a good one!

    • Well, of-course I like your 6 word sentence! I have had an inquire tho—an Odd reader would really like you to share what kind of pie and cookies you took to your sisters. Details Mike! Details. Inquiring minds want to know.

  2. These stories are great. Welcome back Katybeth! Turkey family pot luck for us. But first a relaxing morning with coffee cake and coffee.
Short story, Love Thanksgiving, a lot.
Not sure if that is really a sentence but it is a story heartfelt. Have a great day!
