Pile on the mud to smooth, soften and detox your skin!

Clay or fuller’s earth mud is available in powder form at any health food store.

Mix Together:
1 tablespoon dry clay
1 egg yolk
1/4 of a mashed avocado
enough witch hazel to create a smooth mixture.

Mud dries excess sebum while the egg yolk and avocado replenish lost moisture. Witch hazel tones. The end result is nice smooth skin. Of-course if home made recipes aren’t your thing you could also check out Groupon to see what facial deals they are offering.

★~ Mulled Cider Day:

Mulled Cider

A mug of hot mulled cider is perfectly suited for crisp Autumn September-October afternoons. To make mulled cider, slowly add brown sugar to apple cider in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until all the sugar has dissolved. Add other ingredients such as nutmeg, allspice, orange juice, and lemon juice, and bring to a boil. Strain out the spices, pour into a mug, and add a cinnamon stick.

If you would like a more grown-up mulled cider try this one.

1 1/2 oz Laird’s Apple Jack
1/2oz  to 1 oz Cinnamon schnapps
Apple Cider, heated
Glass: Mug or Irish Coffee glass

Rabbit Rabbit Reminder: Today is the last day of September and you know what that means don’t you?  It’s time to prepare for the first of the month and all that can be yours by simple saying  ”rabbit, rabbit!” The first words out of your mouth on the first day of October must be “rabbit, rabbit.”

Wishing everyone a Most Merry Monday!

  1. Morno,
I enjoy a mug a cup of hot cider. Maybe it’s time to add a gallon to the fridge. The temps are suppose to be in the low 70’s all week.
Thanks for the Monday Morno advice. I am going to do my best.
    Have a good one.

  2. Love the muddy pup! Mud gets a bad rap.
Cider & I do not have a good working relationship. No.
I, too, will try to remember reciting those 2 words 1st thing tomorrow.
    Good day!

  3. oh, how I hate mud !
wish I had a bar like Cheers to go to..that place always seemed like a fun place to hang out .
must have some mulled cider today..sounds really good. 😀

    • When we first moved into our house…Joe’s Mom had installed beautiful white carpet (all the kids were grown–and as far as she knew the grandkids were past the age of concern–she died before the second wave hit) in the living room and dining room. My pups quickly turned the backyard into muddy mess–the grass was thin because of all the shade. MUD and a scrub brush became my life until we could replace the carpeting with tile and landscape with wood chips.
A bar like Cheers would be FUN.

  4. I’m glad Dallas doesn’t seem to like mud any more than I like cleaning it up! That’s a cute mud-covered dog, tho.

Sorry to be visiting a day late. Hope your Monday morno was wonderful!

    • Doberman’s aren’t crazy about mud either. Rascal loves it. The nice thing about Rascal tho is she is wash and wear. I spray her off, towel her off, she shakes a couple of times and we are good to go. Shelties have a lot more clean up involved. 😀
