★~ Bad Day Day:

Did you ever read the book Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day by Judith Viorst? Alexander knew it was going to be a bad day when he woke up with gum in his hair…and then it gets worse. There were two cupcakes in Philip Parker’s lunch box, Albert got a Hershey bar with almonds, and Paul’s mother gave him a piece of jelly roll. Guess whose mother forgot to put in dessert? Yep, some days are just like that, and Alexander has the perfect solution: moving to Australia. Celebrate Bad Day Day by just knowing that some days are terrible, horrible, and no good—even in Australia (or so I have heard).

★~ World Toilet Day:

We have a high potty in our bathroom. My mother recommended the high potty and I love it. The toilet taught me an important life lesson: a married woman should always have her own money. When I first stayed home with Cole, Joe was the primary breadwinner and so he dictated what he would fix around the house and when we would call a repairman—which meant most things were fixed by Joe or not fixed by Joe. Our main toilet would only flush if you held the handle at a certain angle, then moved it three times to the left while standing on your right foot, whistling a happy little tune. I cannot whistle. The toilet tank also had to be refilled after ever few flushes and the ball and chain inside the tank had to be jiggled, but not too hard or it would fall off into the tank and I would be accused of yanking and not jiggling the chain. The moment my business, Camp-Run-A-Pup, started to turn a profit, I went straight to Home Depot and paid cash for the best high potty they had to offer. I then called a plumber to install it. I felt positively flush!

Celebrate, World Toilet Day, by buying some fancy toilet paper and a good magazine.

Carbonated beverage drinkers are very loyal to their favorite caffeinated carbonated beverages. However, today, in honor of Carbonated Beverages with Caffeine Day,maybe we can all try a caffeinated beverage that we’ve haven’t had in a while, such as Dr Pepper, Mountain Dew, or Mello Yello. Better yet, maybe we should just celebrate by raising our glass or bottle for a toast to the beverage we love most
