★~ March Madness:

Remember the Oscar pool? Well, it was so much fun we decided to set up a March Madness Pool. When I say, “we,” I am including Facebook friends, who are always willing to help me realize my dream of being a bookie. Anyway, here is the March Madness information if you would like to play along. The more people who play, the more, um, well, let’s just say the merrier we are. Especially the winner. And trust me, you do not need to know anything about baseball to play.

Enter the following information:

★~ National Pi Day:

Pi Day is celebrated every year on 3/14. Coincidentally, this happens to be the birthday of Albert Einstein, a man who was not unfamiliar with theories and mathematical concepts.

★~Potato Chip Day:  

Americans consume 1.2 billion pounds of potato chips each year. It’s the nation’s favorite snack food! We love them as companions to sandwiches, dunked in dip, or as a midday snack.

An Irish chef named George Crum invented potato chips in Saratoga Springs in 1853. One day, a picky customer kept sending his fried potatoes back to the kitchen, complaining that they were too thick and soggy. Crum responded by slicing the potatoes so thin that they couldn’t be eaten with a fork. The customer was so pleased with Crum’s crispy creation that they became a regular item on the restaurant’s menu

The best potato chip in the whole entire universe is Classic Lay’s.  Just in case you were wondering.

♥~ 1950 – The F.B.I. released its first Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list. The first person to make the list was Thomas James Holden.

In the mean time while the research goes on, he is driving my car to school, and arriving early or on time without me. This is a little embarrassing. Teachers might begin to think his tardiness in the past was my fault. I told him, “Cole, tomorrow you had better be late!!”

I don’t know how the weather is where you are, but the Chicago weather has been positively beautiful. My sweet mother, who has dealt with a less than stellar winter (in fact, on average the weather in New Mexico has been worse than Chicago), informed me we would have a very “buggy summer.” My guest room offer to winter here next year is being reconsidered.
