Each one represented various aspects of life. The ancient Greek goddess Aphrodite was by far the most well known goddess of fertility. People would pray and make offerings to Aphrodite when seeking to create a family.

When I initially read the IVF blessing (as you so sweetly put it) I thought, how nice. Where did KB find this one? Then I realized…I wrote that?
As far as any rituals go, I didn’t use any and was fortunate enough to get pregnant relatively quickly. The song I shared was to celebrate the “old fashioned” way of reproduction, something that becomes more a job than a joy for couples who struggle with infertility.

I had no idea there was a fertility goddess or day. I always thought Aphrodite was just some girl who ran a foot race for a golden apple.
