Apple Kuchen: Leahy Collection
1/4 pound of butter
1 cup pre-sifted flour
1/4 tsp sugar
5 med to large Granny Smith Apples
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp baking powder
Streusel topping:
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup flour
4 tbs butter
Combine butter, flour, baking powder, and sugar. Mix dough until it forms a ball.
Peel and slice apples very thinly.
Press dough onto bottom and sides of 8-inch tart pan, with removable sides. If you don’t have a tart pan, a pie pan will work just fine.
Arrange apples on crust with overlapping circles, until crust is very full.
Combine topping ingredients. Mix well. Spoon generously over apples.
Sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake in preheated 350 oven 1 hour or until juices bubble. Cool. Remove pan sides. Best serve warm with Hagen Daz Vanilla!
Katybeth and Cole made this for Johnny Appleseed’s birthday.

This looks like a fave family recipe of my hubs! Thanks for sharing!
It’s really good…and maybe even a little healthy too! I could get lucky 🙂
