I’m sure you remember the “Cat Box Cake” from when it was submitted to our Odd Contest and won First Prize!. After all, a Cat Box Cake pretty much falls on the unforgettable side of Odd, don’t you think?
Well, I’m just thrilled to announce that Isabel just took Odd to a new level and created this same cake for the Chicago Waldorf Annual May Fair.
AND!!!! How Lucky Are We? Isabel agreed to share the making, baking, and reactions to her Cat Box Cake for the first time ever with Our Odd Family!
Presenting, without further meoooew, Isabel Bakes The Cat Box Cake!
Thank you Isabel!!

TOTAL FUN (and perfect!) Thanks KB. What fun to take it to the nth degree ;D!
LOL! The recipe refers to the baker as “a cat turd artist”. I just can’t envision Isabel as a ” cat turd artist”.
The cake is adorable in a sick kind of way! I just don’t know if I could eat a piece of it. Who ended up with it?
Worse than worms and dirt! I like it!
Oh my gosh…I wondered who made this cake! Owen’s 6-year-old friend, Enzo, went home w/ it…well, technically, his dad won it, but i think Enzo picked it. and now, to know the whole story, well…it slightly calms my vomit impulse every time I think of somebody eating a scoop of this cake
Isabel, of all your many and varied accomplishments, this one takes the cake!! Seriously.
Did you taste it? Gotta admit, it freaks me out a little bit…
I heard about Isabelle’s cake…SO glad to see the pics…too funny!
Love, love, love the cat box cake! Wish my kids were still young enough to need baked goods for school functions and wish I knew people with such great senses of humor!
