We Love Halloween!

Aunt Susan's White Rabbit ear, Grandpa, Joyce, Cole

We love Halloween. We really love Halloween.

Flashback: October 1st, 1996.  Cole was King Cole for his first Halloween and, naturally, I took lots of pictures. These three pictures were my favorites, so I put them in a frame and every October 1st from that point forward, that picture frame was the first decoration out of our Halloween box. The moment Cole saw the picture frame, he would first point and then later say, “Daddy, tell me about me and the pumpkin,” and Joe would tell him this story.

Once upon a time there was a little boy named Cole .

Who went into the forest and found a pumpkin .

And lived happily ever after. The End.

Halloween has begun. Over the next few weeks, I will share everything I know about Halloween with you. I hope you will share your Halloween memories with me.

Glad you were in my Odd neighborhood. Feel free to drop by any time. Odd Loves Company and odd loves you and you and you!! I would love to hear from you in the comment section of this blog, or on Facebook or Twitter!

  1. What a cute little boy. What a cute story. We love Halloween to and especially all of the candy!! Looking forward to more stories.

  2. What adorable photos of Cole in his majestic clothes! Love the story too. As an aussie, living in Melbourne, Australia, I’ve never celebrated Halloween with my family, but I am looking forward to hearing all about your stories. The closest we got to experiencing this celebration was during our family vacation in Anaheim and LA October 2009. We were in awe of all the decorations set up in Universal studios and Disneyland. I have some fantastic pictures of my kids taken with the Zombies. Maybe I can share them?

    • Thank you. We were so happy he loved Halloween that we took picture after picture that first year…I’m surprised he didn’t wish the pumpkin into a carriage and take off from his crazy parents! 😀

      Glad you dropped by!

  3. Such a cute baby!! Joe must have liked short stories–I agree to much detail gets old quick!
Looking forward to more of your Halloween shares! or perhaps I should say scares.
