Die-Hard Cub Fans

Cole and I made a stop at a new cemetery  (Yikes! I forgot to write down the name, but I will find out…) and met a few die-hard Cub fans!

After I took the picture, I asked, “so who is going to win the World Series?” A tree rustled and I believe the answer was “those damn Yanks can forget it.”

Oh no! What if this tombstone was next to the Cub Fans mausoleum? That wouldn’t be funny…would it?

A Few Cubs Quotes:

Every player should be accorded the privilege of at least one season with the Chicago Cubs.  That’s baseball as it should be played – in God’s own sunshine.  And that’s really living.  ~Alvin Dark

I don’t know why we bought the Cubs. We already had a perfectly good company softball team. ~Robert Verdi

There is one thing I will never believe, and that is the Sox are better than the Cubs. ~ Frank Chance, Chicago Cubs, Manager and First Base

And of-course…There is always next year!

Rangers or Yankees?  Glad you were in my Odd neighborhood. Feel free to drop by any time. Odd Loves Company and odd loves you and you and you!! I would love to hear from you in the comment section of this blog, or on Facebook or Twitter!

  1. Rangers.

Hope the family members of the buried show up each year and have a family baseball game on their realities grave followed by a cook-out.
