Dave Keon, the great Maple Leaf, number 14. He was the fastest skater in his day. The Lady Byng Trophy is for gentlemanly play. Yes, there are hockey players who play the game like gentlemen. Lord Stanley’s Cup belongs to the Chicago Blackhawks until some other team takes it away from them. It will be tough for the Hawks to keep it, because one of their best players is now injured, and they are not saying yet how bad he’s hurt. he Blackhawks came really close to winning the Cup in the early 1970s, but were beaten in the final round. If I’m not mistaken, it was the Montreal Canadiens who beat them both times,
Happy Birthday Andrew Lloyd Webber—your music is amazing!
These tidbits are such fun. I love dropping them into conversations at work and if I have a chance to read El Morno before the kids go to school. I often tell them what “today is.” I have been meaning to, “drop you a comment” and let you know my daughter got extra credit for telling her teacher it was pi day! 8)
Thanks Kb!
Love Reese Witherspoon! Larry Robinson was one of my favourite hockey players…
Hugs,
Wendy
Glad we were two for two!
