Daylight savings

Sheesh, I finally have the year right and now I’m going to be writing an hour ago on all my checks. Life is so hard! And one other thing, it’s Daylight Saving Time and NOT Daylight “SAVINGS” Time. This correction came my way today. Who knew? Who cares?

El Morno will be delayed due to a lack of interest in springing forward. See you all a little later!  In the meantime, enjoy a Blueberry popover, and celebrate all things awesome in the spirit of Chuck Norris’s birthday…

“Chuck Norris doesn’t worry about changing his clock twice a year for daylight savings time. The sun rises and sets when Chuck tells it to”

  1. Morno,
I agree with the chief, changing the time back and forth is ridiculous.
Chuck Norris what a guy! Happy to celebrate his awesomeness.
Going to breakfast with a friend and then to the driving range. Dinner with sis and family tonight. I offered to treat for take out or go out but she is in the mood to cook.
    Have a good one.

  2. Does anyone like DST? Or even understand it? I just changed my car clock. I think it is time to reevaluate why we have it and consider going back to the same time all the time.
Blueberry popovers sound good but I think we are having pancakes or waffles. My husband will love it when I tell him it is Chuck Norris birthday.
    Happy Sunday.

    • Have fun with Chuck Norris. I’m sure your husband will tell the kids and it will be chop chop for you!

  3. Like your winter greetings video ..
The chief has it right..changing the clocks twice a year is nuts..let’s leave it one way or the other ! 🙄

    • YES. One way or another…I don’t really care which way. And it’s really fun when your neighboring state doesn’t change–Indiana, for example. My brother-in-law and sister-in-law have a beach house in Indiana and I always have to remember to ask what time they are on when they invite us out for a visit because they have opted to stay on the same time year around–like Arizona.

  4. I thought I was the only one that dont change the time. I always leave them (except alarm clock by bed) and everyone knows to take away an hour for the right time. It is my way of defying a ritual I to do not understand. 🙄 Happy Birthday Chuck……I am a fan. 😀

  5. Oh by the way. Where did you get the balls on string under fun on this opening page? I have to play with them every time I visit you. That is clever and leave it up to you to find them.

    • Well, as I am fond of saying…”You have to stand for something or you will fall for anything.” I can’t remember who said it first.
I can’t remember where the balls came from but it is FUN, glad you think so too.

  6. mark me down as another non-fan of daylight saving time. chief had it right alll along.
rain today so far with the rest of the week having decent weather they say.
    good day!

    • Rain–why can’t it be scheduled when we have to be indoors! Doesn’t seem like to much to ask….

      Enjoy your day.

  7. I vote for leaving the time alone! AZ does and they get along just fine. The only good thing about Day Light Saving time is, we always change the battery’s in our fire alarm when we change our clocks.
