★~ National Junk Food Day:

Holy clogged arteries!  Today we are celebrating trash cuisine! For today, and today only, it is absolutely acceptable to shovel deep-fried, chocolate-covered, baby back ribs and gummy bear-encrusted marshmallows-on-a-stick into your face guilt-free.

Celebrate Junk Food Day by enjoying your favorite food that is high-calories and low in nutritional value. Inquiring minds will want to know what food you paired with today! So, be sure to share your favorite junk food indulgence with us.

★~ Today’s giggle:

The first stop on my vacation was my sister’s house in Montana. She’s extremely organized — before she leaves on a trip she always types up address labels for her postcards. This time, I figured I did her one better. The second day of our visit, I boasted, “You’ll be impressed. I’ve already written thank-you notes to everyone I’ll be staying with. They’re all stamped and ready to go.”

My sister was silent for a moment. Then she asked, “You mean those little envelopes I saw in your room and mailed this morning?”

I’m not sure how Cole and I will  celebrate junk food day. So many choices for only one day! But count on me to return later and muse about our junk food choice. I hope you will do the same. If you have moment leave a morno comment. Odd Loves Company!

  1. Thank God I made it for Junk Food Day! Chips! Love chips.
Hemingway such a genius and so tortured.

    Have a great day!

  2. Oh God your giggle is to funny. Can you imagine? Unfortunately I can! Fried zucchini. Since it is dip and fried it loses it vegie status and becomes “trash cuisine.”

    Love El Morno!

  3. When I was pregnant, I didn’t crave nachos — it was doughnuts!! And I probably could eat my weight in M&Ms! I didn’t know that about Cracker Jacks having a Chicago origin though — see how you’re educating blogland?!
